There is racial tension in our nation.  There is also an entrenched distrust of authority.  Both are malignant forces that demand a response.  The way through these issues is not to abandon guiding values for the sake of quick victories and the emotional heroin of unearned, moral superiority.

Good on this cop.  Good on the man for taking his gratitude public.  Good on Steve Harvey for telling this story.
